During cooling mode, heat pumps do not create cold air. Instead, they remove heat and humidity from every room and transfer it outdoors. Many models also help improve indoor air quality through advanced filtration.
The indoor unit contains refrigerant circulating through a coil. The fan draws warm indoor air across the cold coil, allowing the refrigerant to absorb the heat. Cooler air is then circulated back into your home.
