If the system is blowing air but it is not cold, the problem is often caused by a dirty evaporator coil, a clogged air filter restricting airflow or a low refrigerant level due to a leak.
Water leaking indoors usually indicates that the condensate drain line is clogged with dust or algae, causing water to overflow from the drain pan.
If your system repeatedly turns on and off after only a short period, the issue may be caused by a faulty thermostat or restricted airflow that causes the compressor to overheat.
Before contacting our technician for air conditioning repair, you can perform a few simple inspections.
Verify that the circuit breaker supplying the air conditioner has not tripped in your electrical panel.
A dirty air filter can reduce your system's efficiency by 5% to 15%. Clean or replace it if necessary.
Check that leaves, branches and other debris are not blocking the fins of the outdoor condenser, as restricted airflow can prevent proper heat dissipation.
Please note that handling refrigerants such as R-410A or R-32 is regulated and must only be performed by a certified refrigeration technician.
Our technicians have the specialized diagnostic equipment required to identify problems involving the compressor, electronic control board or fan motor and perform safe, professional repairs.
